Concert Tonight

Yes another concert tonight, 30 Seconds to Mars again. The last show was pretty good, except the fact that Jared Leto was wearing makeup and shit under his eyes and threatening to kick a guy in the crowds ass for flipping him the bird. If he does that shit tonight he will join my list of poser bands with AFI, Aiden, and My Chemical Romance and all the other gay ass ones that I can't think of right now. Fags. Ok and I am upset that I never got to see Blink182 but at least I'll get to see Mark and Travis who are still doing rock music as apposed to Tom with Angels and Airwaves, I don't even know what that music would classify as... I keep hoping that they will do a Blink song or 2 but I really doubt that they will or even can, I guess I'll see huh.

So yesterday my job seemed to have blocked myspace. I don't really know why, I still haven't got to talk to the computer guy. I mean you can look up porn or whatever but no myspace, I find it odd. I have been pretty busy here, I've had a big project where I have to clean out a room. DOesn't sound to hard right, but this room was trashed and I have to make seperate what is radioactive from the not. I moved around 200 lead bricks, that are heavy as hell and big metal tables, and I don't even remember what all else. My back has been sore as hell. Hopefully I will pretty much finish getting the stuff out today and then just test the floor and walls tomorrow. Boring stuff I know. I have been loving coming in early though. I leave around 615 or so, get her by 650, leave around 3 and get home around 330!! Thats about an hour a day driving as opposed to the 3 hours before!! Thats 2 hours of my life that I am not spending with my blood pressure boiling and blood clots going through my brain!! PLus getting 8 hours, and with this project I can't get in the room until 9 so that's like 2 hours of playing on the computer!! It's been nice. Well it's getting close to 9 and still have to check some other blogs. Hopefully I will get these pics up this weekend with a review. Hopefully blogger will let me put up pics!!! Hope everyone has a good weekend!

Siverstein concert #4 Updated

Blogger was messing up so here are the pics, I know they are big!!

Ok where shall we begin. I hate doing this a couple days after the show, but am usually to lazy to get to it until now. First up was a band I Killed the Prom Queen, an Australian band. The music sounded pretty good, it rocked and all but the singer sucks ass. I mean I like "Screamo" music but it sounded like he swallowed the mic and was trying to hack or puke it back up. When the guitarist sung parts as back up I told HB he should be singing, he had a pretty good voice that could be understood. SO I'd give them a thumbs down.

Next on the list was He is Legend, Who I saw before and kind of liked. They were even better this time. They were great, the singer was still doing his hippy dancing which was funny as hell. They had a little more screaming this time, which was kind of understandable compared to the first band. I got their newer CD but only got to hear the first 2 songs on the way to work this morning, they sounded good...lol. I definately wouldn't mind seeing them again.

Next 2 we kind of disappointing. It Dies Today, was ok, I wasn't really impressed of course I think I'd only heard one of their songs before. I was just kind of expecting more. And this is where they started oredering people to make the pits bigger and blah blah blah. "Come on DC I wanna see the biggest circle pit EVER!" These "pits" were disgraceful, they were just kids running in a big circle, doing laps. Pits are slaming and spining in a bit of a circle. If Chris had been there with me, we'd shown them, but my job was to keep HB from getting squished. I think this may have been when the kid passed out on HBs foot. I looked over and her and guy next to her bent over quickly, I looked down and there was a kid on the floor, we pulled him up quickly and the bar dude took him to the back. HB thought someone was stepping on her so she started kicking to find out it was a guys head. It was probably heat or dehydration related, he wasn't old enough to drink.

Next up was Aiden, who I just saw on yahoo, it calls a goth punk band, HA they are nothing but posers. I've seen them before and didn't like them then either. The singer wore all his makeup and shit, fake blood on his neck. Again made his compelling speech about how we were all brothers and sisters, we are all the same and whatever horseshit the little kids wanted to hear about them not being outsiders, they belonged with everyone around them, told them to put their arms around each other. Luckily no one touched me or else I'd gotten pissed. They also bitched about Hawthorne Heights getting a bigger "pit" than them last time. That's probably because they are better! But whatever, they suck and it's unfortunate that him and Shane from Silverstein are friends.

Finally Silverstein. As always a great performance. I just love the fact the wear regular tshirt and jeans that they were probably wearing earlier, they don't wear make-up or anything. And on top of all of that, they kick fucking ass!! They did a partial acoustic version of "Call it Karma" which I love and wanted to hear acoustic and towards the end the rest of the band came out and finished it. I was a little disappointed that they didn't play "Already Dead" but all in all was great. I think we got quite a bit of good pics which I will try to add to this tonight or tomorrow. Shane, the singer, was wearing a Rest in Peace, damn it I forgot who, he looked like Ole Dirty Bastard though. I didn't think he died and he turned around and it said the guys name on the back. Whatever I thought it was kind of funny. They made it worth sitting through the other bands and the last song as always was "Bleeds No More" with the Aiden dude, luckily he didn't do or say much, I don't think his mic was working or something. Oh well. And no Encores, so I was a little sad but there was another show after so they had to get everyone out.

Next up is tonight a really late show in Bmore, Boyskout with Uncle Tom, his bro, and Canowine. It will be like Uncle Toms bachelor party again except instead of scary trailer strippers, we will more than likely be the only guys in a sea of butch lesbians. who will probably kick all of our asses. But hopefully it will be a good time. Let you know tomorrow if I survive.

I'm a Civilian!... Well Kinda

First, Happy Thanksgiving. Yesterday was pretty stressful, our place has had a leak from our shower and they have been trying to fix it and have completely ripped out our bathrrom and tore up the ceiling in our dining room. Plus yesterday water started leaking all over and made a huge mess. They were working during Thanksgiving since Latinos don't celebrate it. All While HBs boy wants to talk to them and run around, HB was trying to make food, I just wanted to sleep. It ended up turning out good though. HB made her second delicious Thanksgiving meal, everyone who came seemed to have a good time, HB and I are still undefeated Champions of Taboo, and I finished all the dishes this morning.

Wenesday was my last day of work for the Navy so to celebrate I went and got my Labret pierced again, it's like lower lip for those of you who don't know, I will post a pic sometime. I know I still need to get the Silverstein Pics up but with all that happening around the house I really haven't gotten around to it. My hair is getting long and shaggy. I look like a bum, but as usual I don't give a shit. I actually have to go back to Navy next week to turn in some papers since the guy in charge wasn't there Wednesday, I may have to fing a small band-aid to put over my piercing so I don't get in trouble or anything. I am still technically under contract until January 9. I am sitting at my job now, it's no long my other job...lol. But need to get my hours in so I can pay off my eyes and furniture, after that I am good to go!! Or at least I think and hope! The way I see it I have been having a lot of money left over, my checking is higher than ever right now of course some of that is because I wanted to make sure I had enough but I have been putting a couple hundred on my eyes at a time so that will make a difference but the interest just kicked in so that added quite a bit. The furniture, I don't think we really owe too much more on. As long as I can get them pretty much gone in a month I will be good!! We'll see. Ok enough about my financial plan.

We got a concert Thursday, 30 Seconds to Mars, Jared Leto's band again so HB can drool all over herself, with +44, I wish it was all of Blink182 but just Mark and Travis, I need to get their album so I can start listening to it, maybe tonight I can put the pics up and then get the album. Lets all cross our fingers that I can do that shall we. Ok well I am tired but need to get back to work and find me a pepsi or something. Happy Halodays all!!

Boyskout Concert

I am tired as shit this morning, it has been a while since I did a late night concert on a work night. So Last night Uncle Tom, Canowine, and myself made the drive up to Bmore to a place called The Talking Head, which was like a block from Sonar, we were going to see Boyskout. We knew the were lesbians that rocked. Well we got there and it was pretty uncomfortable. It was a small bar with a stage and upstairs were broken pool tables and video games. Going to the bathroom scared me. You had to go up stairs with no light, walk around the weirdos upstairs and then go down a narrow windy stairs to the bathroom. Looking around everyones sexuality was in question, we were only sure that the 3 of us were straight. Some's gender was in question, trying to figure out if they were guys or girls. It was definately an experience, creepy. Well the first band cam up Pariah Piranha. I dug them, a cool 3 piece, the singer reminded us of old school Hole or maybe Tracy Bonham. She could shred the guitar, they could definately make it big. I wanted to buy one of their shirts at the end but was too tired to mess with it. It had a fish with a talk bubble thing that said "FU 4eva", of course I wanted it for the FU.

Next up was The Degenerettes. They were decent. I feel bad posting it but hey this is my place, we were sitting next to the singer when we came in, she was on of the ones we were trying to figure out her gender. But during their performance she mentioned her being a lesbian so I guess that makes her a lady who looks like a tranny. Again she could tear up the guitar. They had the energy but I just wasn't really blown away. But I guess it was good for a local band.

The there was Baby Asprin. Another local band. They weren't good. They were having a good time which made it at least bearable, but when the singer sang with the guitarist you just kind of wanted to hold your ears. Their voices didn't go together it made me want to howl but feared getting my ass kicked by gays and chicks.

Finally Boyskout. They started out with a bit of technical difficulties with the keyboard but once it was resolved it was on. They rocked!! Everything was great, the vocals, the guitar, the keyboardist/violin player. Christina played the keyboard/vilolin and was backup vocals, She would play the violin while jumping around then drop the bow onto the keyboard and play the keyboard and sing while holding the violin in her shoulder with her head/neck. It looked extremely difficult but then she'd pick up the bow and be right back at it. They put on a great show, everyone was jumping around dancing. I bought their CD and a tanktop for HB. I asked for a medium tank top that was clearly for a woman and the gender bender, I think a chick held it up to me, I had to state that it wasn't for me, she probably didn't believe me. Hopefully Boyskout gets some press and stuff and makes it big, they definately have the talent to. Keep and eye out for them, they're from San Fran.

Unfortunately I didn't remember my camera so no pics. On my way home I got pulled over like maybe 1000 yards from my house for doing 60 in a 35, I think I was only doing 50, but he let me go with a warning. I finally got in bed around 230am, alarm went off at 530am. I got up but then decided to go back to sleep for an hour since my replacement wouldn't be in that early, well it's 930 apparently I could still be sleeping since he still isn't here and I am going to leave soon and he's gonna be fucked. Tomorrow is my last day of coming in!!

I HATE TRAFFIC!

Seriously!! This week has probably been the worst week of traffic I've ever experienced! Monday took for ever to get home, Tuesday was so backed up to my other job I turned around and went home and took a nap, Wednesday was just slower than usual, Yesterday was the worst yet thanks to the monsoon!! Plus the past 2 mornings I have almost got into accidents on the way to work because of people who don't understand or just simply can't drive between the lines. This morning a car was almost half way in my lane, not trying to get over just driving there. I honked my horn and got next to them while they are still in my lane, if my window was down I could have knocked on their window no problem. I look at them the passenger looked at me like I was crazy for honking my horn while they are still in my lane. I just wanted to slam into them and it would have been their fault but I couldn't mess up my car, if I still had the minivan it would have been on! I hate the traffic and can't wait to get out of it!!!

Yesterday was the last day I think I'll wear my uniform. Technically I should wear it until Wednesday but my hair is out of regs so I figured I'd just wear regular clothes. I doubt anyone will say anything. Tomorrow is SILVERSTEIN!! I can't wait, I love them, I hope the play "Already Dead" and maybe a couple acoustic songs. This will be my first time seeing them headline, so I told HB that I am staying for all encores and everything! It is an early show, 4pm and there is another show at 10 so we won't really be there that late or anything. Monday I think Uncle Tom, Canowine and I will be checking out a band Boyskout in B-more at the Talking Head Club. It will be like old times. The show is late as hell though, I will see if I can still hang and go to work the next day but the other 2 are old as hell now. Uncle Tom doesn't have to work but Canowine is the oldest, even though he actually looks the youngest, Damn Asians(*shakes fist*).

SO how many people saw lines outside every electronics store this morning waiting for the playstation 3?? What a bunch of losers, seriously, who can't wait a couple days or even a week, they have to wait in line all night. I drive by Best Buy every morning and there was a nice line of people with lawn chairs and blankets. It was like the retards that waited for weeks to see Star Wars. Actually it was probably he same people. They just wanted to get out of their moms basement so they campout for whatever they can that's nerdy. Hell I just bought and x-box 2 years ago after it was out for 2 years. I may buy the x-box360 or playstation 3 sometime before I die. Oh well, thank gawd it's Friday! Hope everyone has a good weekend!!

The Replacement

So my replacemment has been around here a bit for me to try to train him how to do everything. He seems like an ok guy, he just talks way to much about shit I don't care about while I am trying to teach him stuff. Normally this would piss me the hell off but in this case I just kind of chuckle and think "Oh, well you'll be fucked when I'm gone". Yesterday when I was trying to show him how to upload reports that come in all the time, I grabbed a stack and started to talk and he looked at the world map behind me and proceeded to tell me tales of his day on a ship in europe and shit like I really cared, then he said he had to go to the bathroom and apparently stopped to talk to someone else on his way back, I ate my food and then left since he kept talking to them. I'm not staying later than I usually do to train him. If he wants to learn this stuff he needs to come in when I'm here. I get here around 630 and leave around 11. All my work is done in the morning, I've told him my usual schedule to do things and said he can do it whenever he wants as long as everything gets done everyday. Well he must think he knows how to do it all since he still isn't in this morning. I know he's having problems since he is moving from another department in the hospital and they don't want to let him go, he doesn't want to leave them messed up and needs to train someone there to do his job. Yesterday he said he'd be here in the mornings and there in the afternoon, that's great it will work for everyone, except when he isn't here in the morning when I am. I can only surf the web so much and sit on my thumb not doing anything so I have the stuff to show him how to do it. SO I'll get bored and then do it if he's not here and hopefully he will be here early tomorrow so he can get some hands on instead of just watching me. All the stuff is fairly easy, especially when you do it everyday so he shouldn't need to much training, I just hope he is confident enough.

Other news, I will be going to see Silverstein for the 4th time Saturday, Bought tickets to see 30 Seconds to Mars again with +44(with Mark and Travis from Blink182)and will be buying tickets to see Senses Fail again soon!! I am pretty excited about those shows. Hopefully get some good pics and stuff, SIlverstein and Senses Fail aren't going to be the same without Chris at my side starting mosh pits and fighting our way to the front but he is a puss who won't fly up here to go to concerts with me. It's only a couple hundred dollars to fly from Texas to DC, I don't see what the big deal is really. But I gotta start doing some paper work and stuff for my transistion into being a civilian again. My hair is already getting longer, I will probably get my face pierced again next month and then see what happens from there!!

Blogiversary

Tomorrow will be my 2 year mark from my first post, well my first 3 posts. I started my blogger account to post comments on Canowine's blog, the nothingness was because I didn't plan on blogging I just wanted the account, the RC666 was because I was the "token devil worshipper" of the office and I always wanted to leave evil comments. Well a while later I decided to make that blog, my first post was a poem from Henry Rollins that I found in his book that Uncle Tom let me borrow to read, which was pretty fitting since my wife left a few months earlier. Then I posted about Silverstein since I wanted this to be about my music, like Canowine except good music, MY music. Then a bunch of places to watch funny videos since that was mainly what I did at work. Check out the first couple posts HERE if you like.

Well a lot has changed since those days way back. I've talked about my music and wrote some poems and talked about my life. No one seemed to really care about my music, some people liked my concert reviews but it wasn't long before I decided that this wasn't a place for me to entertain others, this was my place. This was my journal, a place to bitch, rant, and rave about whatever. To post pics and memories that I can look back on for however long it stays there. I have made some friends, most just through the blogosphere but a couple I've met in person. I've had over 29,000 people come through here since I added the counter within the first month or so, this will be my 506th post on this blog.

It is fun from time to time, to look back on the past. I have a journal type thing that I used to write in quite a bit but it's not the same to read back in that. Here I can have pics and links and whatever I wanted to put with it. My journal I wouldn't write non-sense, I would just right when I was depressed. Here I write/wrote whenever about whatever, I know lots of things didn't make it on here but a lot more has. I've thought about quitting several times, especially since I've run out of things to say for the most part, and realized that not many care but then again this is for me. So I post when I get the chance and update the few friends I have on here and still keep tabs on my life. Thank you all who continue to read this and thank you for letting me read yours.

Next week is my last full week of work!!!! Thanksgiving and I am D-O-N-E DONE! I am excited and happy. A little worried but not much, I've adapted and overcome a lot and nothing will hold me down. I will continue to update. Take care everyone!

Next New Thing

Now we know the times are changing and everything is getting more extreme. Instead of tatoos people are getting branded and I've seen it before and I know That Girl posted a pic of the threading on a girls back, well I got this email at work. Check it out, I don't think I could get this done, I've branded myself with a lighter, have tats and plan on getting more, had piercings and plan to get at least one back, but this NEVER.

New fad...
It looks like we as physicians and surgeons will begin seeing patients with "skin carvings" as the next fad beyond tattooing. It's called "scarification". Some are done by tattoo shops, and a lot are home-made with exacto knives, tweezer and rubbing alcohol. It's getting a lot of internet attention at the tattoo websites, so that can only mean the numbers of those attempting this will be on the rise.

This is probably not only illegally performed surgery, but potentially infectious, being done under less than ideal aseptic technique and post "carving" care. You'll note from the included photos of the carving environment and the scalpel blades to perform it, along with a dab of antibiotic ointment on the blue drape.

I have not heard any official DoD policy against "skin carving", but it probably falls under the rule that all elective surgery MUST be approved by the service member's commanding officer. If anyone can inform us of any further policies, that would be good.

See pictures below for graphic illustration of the process involved in scarification.

I'm Back

My trip to Ohio was ok. No tickets, no accidents, and no problems so all was well. It was good to see the boy, he is learning so much in school it's crazy. He counted to 100, can read and everything, it really is quite amazing. He is getting to be a little better behaved, except he lies now. He was pretending he was a zombie and eating my brains, the first couple times wasn't a problem, then he dug his teeth into my head so I told him to stop and that you don't bite. Well he pretended again and this time didn't bite but I felt something so I put my hand on my head and it was wet. He spit on my head and then tried to tell me that he didn't. He said his lips were wet and that his teeth are wet. He might as well pissed on me and tried to tell me it was rain. After a while he finally admitted he spit so he had to go to bed. The next day my mom mentioned that he got in trouble a while back for calling his teacher stupid, I asked him why and he denied it and tried to come up with some elaborate story. I explained that teachers aren't going to say he called them stupid if he didn't. I took him into the bedroom and talked with him, he finally admitted that he did. I explained to him how bad lying was and told him that if he lied to me again I'd beat his ass. I probably haven't spanked him for at least 2 years but he is terrified of me doing it so it's always a good threat, most of the time when I raise my voice he knows to stop and be quiet. Well he told my mom that his baby brother was going to be here after Christmas. And when me and him were talking he was calling her cousin's kid his best friend. I explained that he was his cousin because (I need to give these people names) the guy she's living with is her cousin. He said no, he was her husband because they kiss, hug, and sleep in the same bed. I was trying not to laugh and vomit at the same time, but I just said no, he's mommy cousin. When I went to drop him off the ex was hiding in the bedroom claiming she had a migraine even though I called her when I was on my way and she sounded fine. So I left. Why would she try to hide that she is pregnant from me? It's not like she can hide it forever, and she should know that I am not stupid and am way smarter than her. She is bad at lying; I just laughed my ass off. I need to save up money and when we get settle in a house, see about getting custody. There has to be laws about having your cousins baby and if she claims it's not his and I can't get a DNA done or something then perhaps the fact that she had a kid and doesn't know who the dad is could be grounds to prove she is unfit or something. I don't know. I really hate to be so crawl and I know it would be hard as hell on the kid but I think it would be for the best. Maybe we can just switch the custody so I have him during the school year and she has him during the summer. I'm thinking that the stress of having a baby might make her want to do that but then she would be giving in to me and that would make her not want to. I don't know, I guess we just have to play the waiting game until we find out for sure and then go from there. I am worried about getting mine and Hobbs boys together though, mine is a bully and then trying to deal with one has to do what I say and the other doesn't think so. I wanted to wait until they were a little older and could understand but they may meet sooner. Again all this is speculation, I just have to wait. I am done rambling now; hope everyone had a good weekend.
