If you don't know who arcade fire is...you need to. Last night I went to see them with John from the Smudge of Ashen Fluff, who will also try to review the show and probably do better than me. But I did it first. So I never heard of this band til a month or so ago when they sold out and john said he had tickets. I listened to them, and dug it, it was definatly unique and pretty good music. I kept listening to only 2 songs on the CD though, "Tunnels" and "Power Out". SO I decided I'd go check it out with him. The show was awesome though. The opening act was a guy who called himself Final Fantasy for some reason. His name was Owen Pallett and he played violin, exquisitly. He also helped play with Arcade Fire. You could feel the energy radiating off into the crowd. High energy consiting of wearing motorcycle helmets and playing drums on them, climbing the balcony while paying, and much more. If they come in your area I definatly suggest checking it out.
Have a listen:

EVIL
While surfing through Blogs I came across The Fence with a little thing that said that the site was certified 38% Evil. So obviously I thought my blog was pretty evil, and wanted to know what it rated. If you click the pick it sends you to the website and you can put your webpage in and it will scan it and tell you how evil or how good it is. I am actually disappointed I thought I was more evil than 40%. I'm gonna have to check up on it every once in a while to see if I have gotten more evil or good. Maybe I should do a post saying Satan, devil, and anitchrist over and over again? See how evil your site is.

Dashboard Confessional
Though I was never really a fan, a buddy sent me a bunch of songs to check out. In it was a bunch of my type (hardcore rock) and then a Dashboard Confessional song. I was like wait this shit doesn't belong here. But after listening to it, I was like wow. So here is the video as well as the lyrics. It is awesome. Now I am going to have to listen to their album and maybe even buy it. I think I didn't care for them because I heard their unplugged and it just sounded to popish and I didn't actually listen to the lyrics.
Screaming Infidelities Video
I'm missing your bed
I never sleep
Avoiding the spots where we'd have to speak,
And this bottle of beast
Is taking me home
I'm cuddling close
To blankets and sheets
But you're not alone, and you're not discreet
Make sure I know who's taking you home.
I'm reading your note over again
There's not a word that I comprehend,
Except when you signed it
"I will love you always and forever."
Well As for now I'm gonna hear the saddest songs
And sit alone and wonder
How you're making out
But as for me, I wish that I were anywhere with anyone
Making out.
I'm missing your laugh
How did it break?
And when did your eyes begin to look fake?
I hope you're as happy as you 're pretending.
I am alone
In my defeat I wish I knew you were safely at home
I'm missing your bed
I never sleep
Avoiding the spots where we'd have speak, and
This bottle of beast is taking me home.
Your hair, it's everywhere.
Screaming infidelities
And taking its wear.

TILA TEQUILA
Obviously when you see a HOT girl in pictures like these you have to listen. Though the one on the top looks like some nice hardcore screaming, the songs she has on myspace is not. It is actually still very good, she does an excelent cover of "No Woman No Cry" Plus all guys and some girls may want to scroll down on there and see even more great pics!!

Valentine's Day is near
With Valentines Day closing in and dreading the day I came across this, that helped me feel better. These are entries to a Washington Post competition asking for a rhyme with the most romantic first line...but the least romantic second line.
Love may be beautiful, love may bliss
But I only slept with you cause I was pissed.
I thought that I could love no other
Until, that is, I met your brother.
Roses are red, violets are blue, sugar is sweet, and so are you.
But the roses are wilting, the violets are dead, the sugar bowls empty and so is your head.
Of loving beauty you float with grace
If only you could hide your face.
Kind, intelligent, loving and hot;
Is everything that you are not.
I want to feel your sweet embrace
But don't take the paper bag off your face
I love your smile, your face, your eyes..
Damn, I'm good at telling lies!
My darling , my lover, my beautiful wife
Marrying you screwed up my life.
I see your face when I am dreaming..
That's why I always wake up screaming.
My love, you take my breath away.
What have you stepped in to smell this way?
My feelings for you no words can tell,
Except for maybe "go to hell".
What inspired this amorous rhyme?
Two parts vodka, one part lime.

Which Historical Lunatic Are You?
Thank you Lohan, I didn't really know how messed up I really was until I took this Quiz. I actually just seen the movie Caligula two years ago, thanks to some submariners that I was currently in a school with. Though I only vaguely remember it, I always remember the bucket of lard and the grooms ass. If you haven't seen it check it out. It is quite interesting.
Which Historical Lunatic Are You?
From the fecund loins of Rum and Monkey.
You are Gaius Caesar Germanicus - better known as Caligula!
Third Emperor of Rome and ruler of one of the most powerful empires of all time, your common name means "little boots". Although you only reigned for four years, brief even by Roman standards, you still managed to garner a reputation as a cruel, extravagant and downright insane despot. Your father died in suspicious circumstances, you were not the intended heir, and one of your first acts as Emperor was to force the suicide of your father-in-law. Your sister Drusilla died that same year; faced with allegations that your relationship with her had been incestuous, you responded, bafflingly, by declaring her a god.
You revived a number of unpopular traditions, including auctions of properties left over from public shows. When a senator fell asleep at one such auction, you took each of his nods as bids, selling him 13 gladiators for a vast sum. You attempted to have your horse, Incitatus, made into a consul and hence one of the most powerful figures in Rome. It was granted a marble stable with jewels and a staff of servants. At one point you forced your comrade Macro to kill himself - in much the same vein as your father-in-law - accusing him of being his wife's pimp. You, of course, were having an affair with said wife at the time.
Things went from bad to worse. When supplies of condemned men ran short in the circus, you had innocent spectators dragged into the arena with the lions to fill their place. You claimed mastery of the sea by walking across a three-mile bridge of boats in the Bay of Naples; kissed the necks of your lovers, whispering sweet nothings like "This lovely neck will be chopped as soon as I say so,"; dallied with your sister's lover and made her pull her unborn child out of her womb prematurely. Towards the end of your reign, you had a golden statue of yourself made and dressed each day in the same clothes you yourself wore. When you eventually died, the terrified people of Rome refused to believe that such a cruel reign could ever end, and believed you to be alive for years afterwards.

My Life
Why can’t my life just be a simple one?
Everywhere I turn I am being outdone.
My life has always and will always be erratic.
Everyone around me is always so melodramatic.
If I don’t really know what I want,
I am far from being a savant.
It seems I can never find her,
The one my life prefers.
With the unstable lifestyle I’m living,
All women seem so unforgiving.
Although now I always seem to be drunk,
It’s only because I am in a funk.
It seems my life is on a downward spiral through the depths of Hell,
It seems everyone who was once on my side always rebel.
My feelings are always elusive.
My life will always be inconclusive.

Yay! more music
Again although no one appears to care about my music, I haven't posted in a couple days and don't have any of my writings here with me. So since I tend to look up music most of the day at work, here's some of the artists that I found. And if anyone actually does give them a listen, let me know.

Griffin and Sabine
Today my buddy Tom brought in a set of little books for me. At first appearance I thought they were kids books. I asked what I was supposed to do with them, he said read them. While flipping through and seeing all the great illustrations, I said ok I'll read it. The Griffin & Sabine Trilogy by Nick Bantock is excellent. He also does all the stangely beautiful artwork, such as the one above. The books are about 30 pages each, in which there are postcards between, get this, Griffin and Sabine. It is made up as postcards, front and back, and letters in envelopes pasted into the book, which you must open to read. It is incredibly brilliant.

Atreyu - Right Side of the Bed
God! Why I can't I be this talented? This could be my divorce song, kind of the opposite of a wedding song. In case no one can tell, I am currently going through a divorce and a little salty, not that I have ever been chipper. Anyway here some more good stuff!
Listen to Atreyu
Right Side Of The Bed
And I can see her now
Dancing around, her drink in hand
All her baggage in tow
I just want to forget and let go
Of all the joy, all of the pain
I took your guilt and placed it into me
And now I kiss it goodbye
Our last dance ended fatall
Who's sleeping on my side of the bed tonight?
Have you ever cried so hard?
Baby you just died
And there she goes again
Another masquerade in false circumstance
She'll fuck you just for the taste
I just wish I could replace all the memories
Of what makes my blood run cold
And as your blood flows through me
I say goodbye to what we had
She came and went
I gnawed through my lip
Makeup smeared in her eyes
Each sob's a reason to say goodbye.
Sometimes when you're holding on
You'll never see the light
With flowers in her hair
Gazed upon with dead lovers eyes
She never looked so good
And I never felt so right
I felt so wrong

Alone
Here I sit alone in my room.
I stare into the dark gloom.
I seem to drink all the time.
It’s hard for me to think of a rhyme.
I don’t sleep well and I can’t eat.
My life always seems incomplete.
I’ve spent most of my life alone.
Why can’t my heart be made of stone?
I have never had very many friends.
My self-esteem constantly descends.
I seem to only bring people down.
I can’t help it, but I just always frown.
Why can’t happiness last?
At least it hasn’t in the past.
My heart I can’t bear.
No one seems to care.
I don’t think my future will ever be bright.
Every night will be the same as tonight.
I am alone.

Ohio is for Lovers
Being from Ohio, and everything I really ever knew is there, this song really gets to me. I love it. All my past is there, past girlfriends, ex-wife. It's like they all helped picking my heart apart and now I am gone and will never get it back. But that's just how it makes me feel. It is an awesome song to hear it, click Hawthorne Heights on the sidebar, then click media.
"Ohio Is For Lovers" By HAWTHORNE HEIGHTS
Hey there,
I know it's hard to feel like I don't care at all.
Where you are and how you feel.
With these lights off as these wheels
keep rolling on and on.
Slow things down or speed them up.
Not enough or way too much.
How are you when I'm gone?
[Chorus:]
And I can't make it on my own.
Because my heart is in Ohio.
So cut my wrists and black my eyes.
So I can fall asleep tonight, or die.
Because you kill me.
You know you do, you kill me well.
You like it too, and I can tell.
You never stop until my final breath is gone.
Spare me just three last words.
"I love you" is all she heard.
I'll wait for you, but I can't wait forever.

Blast from the past
Well a lot of my writings probably shouldn't go one here. A lot really suck. I called it free verse. Though it was just me writing about break ups or wanting someone I couldn't have. But this one was from when I was a freshman in high school, god, that was almost 10 years ago. I'm old! I wanted to write a song, was a huge Goth. Well I wanted to call it Death. It is really bad but what the hell. I will try to edit or come up with better stuff when I have more time.
You could die when your asleep,
Or when your awake.
All you know is,
Your soul they will take.
You fear death,
Others want to die.
But we don't want them,
We just wanna cut you open wide.
You could be stabbed,
You could be shot.
You will still die,
You will still rot.
We'll cut off your body parts,
From head to toe
No one can hear you scream.
It hurts, I know.
In your coffin,
Six feet below,
Satan will take your soul.

GWAR !!!
Recently I went to see GWAR, they allowed cameras, so I bought a little disposable one. Unfortunatly like most concert pics, the lighting was bad and most didn't come out, but here are two that are decent. God I loved the costumes, and being sprayed with "blood" was quite refreshing after slamming. Though I used all my pictures before I was right at the stage.

After the Tragedy
In case no one has noticed, I really love music. Rock has always been what I like most, though I do listen to everything else (besides country). I have been really getting into the underground indie stuff. I guess it's mostly called emo or screamo music. I don't know, it used to be just alternative, then came punk, it's so hard to put music into these specific categories. There's only 5 categories: Rock, Pop, Rap, Blues, Classical.
Anyways here's another band, After the Tragedy. It's kind of religious, and I am far from religious, but it's still really good. I need to find another word besides good. Since it's praiseworthy. Here's what they had to say on purevolume:
WE NEED YOUR HELP! Like what you hear? If you live anywhere BUT Arkansas AND you have a CD burner, E-MAIL: kozzed@centurytel.net to receive FREE music from the upcoming album! We want our music out there, which is why we don't care if you burn it!

No one, No where
I have been searching blogs seeing what everyone else is doing. I used to write alot, though I never believed it to be any good. I never let anyone read it, why not open it up to complete strangers. Here it goes.
I have no one to talk to, no where to turn, no where to go.
No one, no where, I feel so low.
The person I have become, is not what I’d predicted.
Everything in my life is conflicted.
I never had any real friends.
When I think I’ve reached the bottom, My life descends.
I have no one to talk to, no where to turn, no where to go.
No one, no where, I feel so low.
I sit around, staring into the blue.
Who do I have to look to?
When my life is up, I think it is forever.
When it is down, Talking to someone becomes my endeavor.
I have no one to talk to, no where to turn, no where to go.
No one, no where, I feel so low.
I can’t eat or sleep, I just mourn.
My heart and feelings appear so worn.
What is a man supposed to do,
When everything in your life starts to fall through.
I have no one to talk to, no where to turn, no where to go.
No one, no where, I feel so low.

Mensrea
Recently I saw Gwar at the 930 club in DC, the opening act was a band called Mensrea. I thought they were outstanding. The had some great metal guitar riffs. The singers had a great haunting screaming voice. I actually got a chance to talk with there drummer a bit while the other, not very good opening band was playing. He and Nate (the guitarist) are in another band called Locus factor, with Kris Norris of Darkest hour and Cory Smoot (Flattus Maximus) of Gwar. You should definatly check out both bands if you like HARD ROCK!
You should hear them at the following sites:
